Hi Ron, Please note that directly moving the data from a subscription of one tenant to another is not feasible. It’s not feasible to move an Office 365 tenant from GoDaddy to Microsoft either. You may manually remove the domain from the Office 365 tenant in GoDaddy, cancel the Office 365 subscription, then purchase an Office 365 subscription in Microsoft, and add the domain into this Office 365 subscription. Here are two scenarios: 1. If you are using the Outlook client now, exporting and importing the pst files may be a good choice. Here are two articles for your reference: 2. Regards, Barry [Updated by Barry Xie MSFT Support, 7:08 AM, Oct, 16, 2016 (UTC)]. Hi Ron, Do you need further assistance? Regards, Barry Hi Barry, Considering the links in Violet's reply weren't helpful, I still need assistance. My main concern is backing up my email. Since I do not have an option to export mail in the Tools menu, I'm not sure how to proceed. Backing up my email is my highest priority because I'd be royally screwed if I lost my company email. Would copying email to the folders in the 'On My Computer' account qualify as a backup in this instance? Then I could copy them back to the newly created MS Office 365 cloud account. ![]() Would that work? Hi Barry, Thanks for continuing to help. No, I do not see an Export option in the Outlook for Mac File Menu: I will consider moving email to my local computer then moving it back to the newly created Outlook 365 account once I have moved from Godaddy to Microsoft. On another note, I've been advised by a couple colleagues to dump O365 and move to a Gmail Business account (supposedly the move is quite simple). I'm not sure which way I'm going to go, but I have to admit that this whole process has been a very sour experience. One would think that Microsoft would make moving an O365 account from one tenant to another a trivial affair, but in reality this entire experience has turned me off O365. ![]() Barry, thanks again for your help! I thought I'd update this thread and let others know how I accomplished moving from one tenant to another, which in my case was from Godaddy to Microsoft. Other Office programs work normally. Update microsoft word for mac os high sierra 10.13.4 problems. The entire process is very easy to accomplish. Here's how I did it: • Create your new Microsoft 365 account with whatever plan you need. • Note: while creating your new account on the MS website, you might want to use the same username and company name as your existing Office 365 account in Step 2 of the account setup process. What I mean by that is if your current O365 email address is '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***' you'd enter 'james' as the username, and 'widgets' as the company name, meaning your new ID will be *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. This might not be possible if the name is already taken, but I thought I'd make it known. • Add your newly created email account to Outlook or whatever email client you use. • Drag email from your current O365 folders to your new account. Example, I 'select all' mail in Inbox and then dragged all my Inbox email to my new account's Inbox folder, then did it again for Sent folder to Sent folder, etc. This will take some time depending on the number of emails you have. Make sure you wait for this process to complete for all mail folders. • Note: if you have custom folders you will need to add them first to your new account before dragging email from corresponding folders in your existing account. • Login to Goddady or whoever is your existing O365 tenant and cancel/delete your O365 mail account.
